SEMINAR “SERVICE DESIGN AND ITS APPLICATION IN PRACTICE”

On November 4, 2022 in Karaganda, Karaganda Medical University and JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland) organized a seminar: “Service design and its application in practice”. The seminar is part of the AccelEd project (“Improving Nursing at the Master’s and PhD Doctoral Levels in Kazakhstan’s Higher Education System”), which is co-funded by the EU through Erasmus + and implements innovative projects to increase capacity and reform higher education.
The workshop brought together academic staff and nursing experts from universities and healthcare organizations. Seidakhmetova Aizat Ashimkhanovna, head of the Department of Emergency Medicine and Nursing, and Yunusmetov Eldor Shavkatovich, assistant of the department, took part in the seminar with a report on the study conducted by the SKMA team.
The purpose of the seminar is to exchange experience in the implementation and use of the Design Service method in Kazakhstan, to initiate discussion, dissemination and ensure the sustainability of educational and methodological materials developed within the framework of the project.
Within the framework of the seminar, Johanna Heikilä, Hannele Turvainen from the JAMK University of Applied Sciences (Finland), representatives of universities and colleges of Kazakhstan made presentations on the experience of implementing Service Design, on cooperation between practical healthcare and medical universities/colleges.
