6 – 10 of December, the project team from JSC “SKMA” participated in the Master class «Service-design approach in the development of nursing services», which took place at the Medical University of Karaganda, Karaganda. The master class is part of the AccelED project («Improving Nursing at the Master’s and PhD doctoral level in the higher education system of Kazakhstan»), which is co-financed by the EU through Erasmus+ and implements innovative projects to increase the potential and reform higher education.
The master class was organized for the teaching staff of medical universities, medical staff of university clinics and master’s and doctoral students.
The purpose of the master class is to expand the knowledge and skills of participants to create and organize processes, ways of working, methods and interactions that lead to innovation and cooperation between various partners.
During the master class, participants gained an understanding of the modern methodology for the development of nursing services based on the point of view of clients and in collaboration with practitioners and end users.
The master class was organized jointly by JAMK (University of Applied Sciences, Finland) and the Medical University of Karaganda.

Lisbeth Fagerstrom – PhD, RM Professor of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Education and Social Research, Abo Akademi University, Finland.
Paolo Colet – PhD, MAN, RN, RM, AFAAQHC, Professor at the Nazarbayev University School of Medicine.
The project team from JSC “YUKMA” actively participated in the work and discussion in small groups, when visiting the clinical bases of the university – in working with patients, all participants spoke with the results of their work every day. After the certificates were awarded, the participants received tasks for conducting field research.
