Accelerating Master and PhD level Nursing Education Development in the Higher Education System in Kazakhstan – AccelEd

On September 30, 2021, the Astana Medical University hosted monitoring visit under the project 618052-EPP-1-2020-1-LT-EPPKA2-CBHE-SP “Accelerating Master and PhD level Nursing Education Development in the Higher Education System in Kazakhstan – AccelEd”.
The monitoring was carried out by the Director of the National Erasmus+ Office in Kazakhstan Shaizada Tasbulatova and Program Manager Dana Serikbay. This event was attended by representatives of partner universities: Astana Medical University, Karaganda Medical University, South Kazakhstan Medical Academy, Nazarbayev University and S. Asfendiyarov Kazakh National Medical University.

The tasks of monitoring are to provide assistance to the project at an early stage, to help increase its awareness at the local and national level, to make recommendations to prevent possible failures and difficulties; informing about the rules and procedures, conducting a review of goals and priorities, methodology for project implementation, planned activities.
Acting rector of Astana Medical University Marzhan Dauletyarova and AccelEd Project Coordinator Jurate Macijauskienė (Lithuanian University of Health Sciences) made a welcoming speech, who emphasized the relevance and importance of the project for the development of nursing science in Kazakhstan.

Within the framework of the monitoring, such issues as the implementation of activities, impact and sustainability, partnership and cooperation, the relevance of the project were discussed. In general, the monitoring visit was very useful and timely, as recommendations were received on the further implementation of the project.
